很多時候,我們常在瘋狂忙碌的工作中,尋求一點慢活與紓壓的空間與時間;但有更多時候,我們享受在那短暫甚至是些微放鬆的氣氛與感受之中。現在的生活壓力,往往讓人喘不過氣,甚至有更多讓人害怕與恐懼的文明病,其中情緒上的障礙更是讓人難以招架。

相信很多人都知道Karmakamet是從洽圖洽市集做起來的泰國香氛品牌,而Joy這個味道,是他們店裡面的香氣,當我知道這個香味背後,創辦人他的初衷與用心時候,真的被深深打動感動著,創業是辛苦的,而投資有時候是場賭注,當初Joy就是被賭的一樣商品,而且在精油上面的挑選與調和,每每需要花上二至三個月才能得到一點點心得,Joy的開端,是大膽地使用薄荷油,再融入英國薰衣草與天竺葵後,那香氣才達到創辦人心中那屬於他要的獨特個性,而不是單純只是一個精油香氣。也就這樣,從2002年4月3日開始販售,到現在已經足足17年的時間了,他創下的紀錄已經超乎創辦人想像,也顛覆了每個使用者的想法。品牌這樣說著:或許Joy還沒有辦法成為這個品牌形象最完美的樣子,但它已經跟它的使用者建立了一種獨特的關係與情感。是呀!每當工作疲憊的時候,我想到的就是Karmakamet的喜悅,會嚮往在喜悅的香氣中,找回我原本工作的動力與熱情,就正因為喜悅是帶有正能量,也是讓人感動的力量。

It is undeniable that many people know Karmakamet is a Thai brand coming from Jatujak Weekend Market, and the scent of Joy is just the signature scent you would smell in thier retail stores. When the story of this scent comes up, I immediately feel the warmness and touched by the lovely story. We all know starting a business is very difficult, and investment is a kind of gambling. Without exception, Joy was one of the products the funder gambled in the very beginning of this business. They tried a lot of different aroma oils and several different ways to blend the oils which could be lasted for two to three months long. How to make the Joy out? They finally decided to use peppermint as the start and then adopted Engish Lavender and Geranium to create the unique scent as the representative of this brand. It sucessfully created an image to users and then reached lots of different achievements since it was launched on 3 April 2002. In this 17 years time, Joy brings so many spectacular surprises to Karmakamet. The funder once said, "Joy may not be the ideal scent that represented our brand image, but it has a unique relationship with its users." Indeed, when I was tired after a horrible working day, the first scent comes to my mind is Joy of Karmakamet which may bring my owned creation and passion back. Yes, I like its positive energy in Joy.
